Placing Requests - 2002-2003

The education authority does not provide transport for those pupils living outwith the catchment area who are in receipt of a placing request, other than in individual exceptional circumstances and where appropriate legislation applies.

Pupils born between 1st March 1999 and 30th February 2000 will normally start school in August 2004. Parents who wish to apply for early entry may do so. Underage placing requests will only be granted after full assessment of the child concerned.

In the case of under age placing requests, if the child is offered a place in his/her catchment area, school transport will be provided in accordance with council policy stated above.
